Former Korle Klottey MP and ex-Minister of Employment, Hon. Nii Armah Ashietey, has declared his intention to contest the National Chairmanship position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The seasoned politician made his ambitions known on 26 August 2026 during the annual Nɔɔ Wala traditional observance held at Ashie We in Teshie, where he formally sought the prayers, blessings and guidance of the Chief and Principal Elders as he prepares for the political journey ahead.
