Former Greater Accra Regional Minister and National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairmanship hopeful, Hon. Nii Armah Ashietey, has engaged a group of former Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), outlining his vision for the future of the party ahead of its internal elections.
The meeting, which brought together several experienced former local government executives, provided an opportunity for Hon. Ashietey to present his leadership agenda anchored on the theme, “New Vision. New Direction. Power to the People.”
The engagement was characterised by cordial interactions, constructive dialogue, and a shared commitment to strengthening the NDC. Participants expressed appreciation for Hon. Ashietey’s vision and leadership approach, describing his message as one that resonates with the aspirations of the party’s grassroots.
Many of the former MMDCEs also expressed confidence in his ability to provide the leadership needed to reposition the NDC and wished him well in his campaign for the position of National Chairman.
Hon. Nii Armah Ashietey reaffirmed his commitment to building a stronger, more united and people-centred NDC, stressing that empowering the grassroots and fostering inclusiveness will remain central to his leadership agenda as the campaign progresses.
